Rice University and Taipei Veterans General Hospital (TVGH) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on September 26, 2024 during Dr. Kirsten Ostherr’s visit to Taipei as an invited guest speaker at the 2024 National Health Research Institutes Forum International Conference on Telehealth. The MOU is the result of five years of international exchange between the Medical Humanities Research Institute at Rice and the Clinical Innovation Center (directed by Ying-Ying Yang, MD, Department of Medical Education) at TVGH. The MOU formalizes the collaboration between these two institutions in advancing the integration of medical humanities into international biomedical research.
